Victoria J. Morales
About:
Victoria is a freelance stage manager from Birmingham, AL with
roots all over the country. Victoria has just signed on to be the Stage
Management Apprentice at Studio Theatre in Washington, D. C. for their
2017/2018 season!
Victoria just finished a year long contract with the Milwaukee
Repertory Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she was a Stage
Manager in their Emerging Professional Resident Program. While working
at The Rep, Victoria had the opportunity to work on many of the 13 shows
in the Rep's amazing season as well as act as the Young Performer's Stage
Manager for their brand new production of A Christmas Carol in the
historic Pabst Theater and act as the ASM for their 2017 Rep Lab.
Before Joining the Rep, Victoria completed a season at the Oberlin
Summer Theatre Festival in Oberlin, Ohio were she Stage Managed
Anne of Green Gables and Assistant Stage Managed Inherit the Wind.
Affiliated with Oberlin College, the festival offers free theatre in rotating
rep for the community all summer long.
Victoria is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her B. A. in Theatre with honors. While working as a stage management stipend at the university, Victoria has had the great opportunity to have worked on a number of productions including: Stupid F***ing Bird, In the Next Room, Clybourne Park, Rabbit Hole, and Big Love. Victoria is a four time nominee of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Stage Management Fellowship Competition. While at UAB, Victoria has taken classes in areas such as scenic and costume design and construction, theater history, realistic and experimental directing, voice and movement and completed a thesis project in stage management incorporating technology.
Victoria has a passion for contemporary theatre and new works and hopes to help artists use theatre as a medium to discuss the human experience.
